If she is taking calcium supplement she can do it but she should reduce slowly.

The benefits of loosing the weight outway any potential risk. Bone loss from weight loss has occurred in people having lost significant amounts of weight, such as after by-pass surgery. Loosing 20-25kg will help her not hurt her. As you said, you already know about taking calcium and other supplements. But as with any weight loss program, she needs to talk to her doctor about what she plans to do. Good luck to you both.
