    vitamin D helps ur intestines abosorb calcium instead of having to take it from your bones. when we get calcium from our bones it makes our bones too soft. most of vitamin is in the skin and the uv light from the skin helps convert it to an active form of vitamin d. the sun is where most of the vitamin d is obtained, but it is still important to include it in your diet.

    i am sorry i dont know what al and ul for vitamin D are.
